• To ensure the compliance with National/International Food standards.
• To assist industries in the food sector to develop and implement quality management systems such as ISO 9000, HACCP etc.
• To provide information to farmers on their produces.
• To generate scientific data on quality of fresh as well as processed products of the region and to provide remedial measures for their improvement.
• To strengthen research on food quality analysis in order to make our products more competitive in global market
• To impart training in the areas relating to quality improvement through own expertise.
